Amazon Connect now includes the ability for agents to schedule time off up to 24 months in the future, making it easier for managers and agents to plan ahead of time. With this launch, agents can now book time off in Connect up to 24 months ahead of time (an increase from 13 months). Additionally, you can now upload pre-approved time off windows for a scheduling group (group allowance) for up to 27 months at a time (an increase from 13 months). These increased limits provide agents more flexibility to plan their personal time and also provide managers better visibility into future staffing needs, thus enabling more efficient resource allocation.

AWS Deadline Cloud now includes the ability to specify a limit for a specific resource, like a floating license, and also constrain the maximum number of workers that work on a job. AWS Deadline Cloud is a fully managed service that simplifies render management for teams creating computer-generated graphics and visual effects, for films, television and broadcasting, web content, and design.

By adding a limit to your Deadline Cloud farm, you can specify a maximum amount of concurrent usage of resources by workers in your farm. Capping resource usage ensures tasks don’t start until the resources needed to run are available. For example, if you have 50 floating licenses for a particular plugin required by your rendering workflow, a Deadline Cloud limit allows you to ensure no more than 50 tasks requiring that limit are started, preventing tasks from failing due to the license being unavailable. Additionally, setting a maximum number of workers on a job enables you to prevent any single job from consuming all the available workers so that you can efficiently run multiple jobs concurrently when there are a limited number of workers available.

Limits are available in all AWS Regions where Deadline Cloud is available.

Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server now offers enhanced storage and performance capabilities, supporting up to 64TiB of storage and 256,000 I/O operations per second (IOPS) with io2 Block Express volumes. This represents an improvement from the previous limit of 16 TiB and 64,000 IOPS with io2 Block Express. These enhancements enable transactional databases and data warehouses to handle larger workloads on a single Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server database instance.

The support for 64TiB and 256,000 IOPS with io2 Block Express for Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server is now generally available in all AWS regions where both Amazon RDS io2 Block Express volumes and Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server are currently supported.

Amazon AppStream 2.0 now allows administrator to control whether admin consent is required when users link their OneDrive for Business accounts as a persistent storage option.

The new capability simplifies the management of AppStream 2.0 persistent storage and the admin consent process. After enabling OneDrive for Business for an AppStream 2.0 stack and specifying the OneDrive domains, administrators can now configure whether admin consent is needed for each OneDrive domain. If admin consent is required, administrators must approve users’ OneDrive connections within their Azure Active Directory environment when users attempt to link their account to AppStream 2.0.

This feature is available at no additional cost in all AWS Regions where AppStream 2.0 is offered. It is supported only on AppStream stacks using single-session Windows fleets.

To get started, open the AppStream 2.0 console and create a stack. In the Enable storage step, enable OneDrive for business and configure the admin consent settings. Coldplay evoluciona la experiencia de los fans con la IA de Microsoft

Mi primer concierto con mi hijo fue un concierto de Coldplay en Vancouver hace un par de años. Me cautivó por completo el espectáculo, la música, la experiencia inmersiva y el enfoque en la sostenibilidad, pero sobre todo al ver a mi hijo menor experimentar un concierto por primera vez. Fue en verdad mágico. La banda siempre ha estado a la vanguardia de la innovación y de generar magia con sus fans.

En coincidencia con su último proyecto, A Film For The Future, la banda colaboró con Microsoft para producir una experiencia impulsada por IA que permite a los fans interactuar con su nuevo álbum MOON MUSiC de una manera única y personal.

Después de cierto escepticismo inicial cuando surgió la IA generativa, ahora vemos que los creadores y artistas comienzan a experimentar con la IA como un impulsor creativo, para aportar nuevas formas de interactuar y mejorar su trabajo, generar nuevas ideas e incluso hacer las cosas más rápido.

A Film For The Future es un proyecto con una alta colaboración, que reúne a un grupo diverso de cineastas y animadores para crear segmentos únicos para la película de 44 minutos, que proporciona un acompañamiento visual al nuevo álbum. A cada creador se le dio un amplio conjunto de temas y licencias creativas para crear imágenes que cada uno sintiera que representaba mejor la música de Coldplay. Ese tema colaborativo ahora se extiende a la experiencia del fanático, que trasciende la visualización pasiva tradicional y le permite crear su propio clip de 15 segundos de la película por medio Microsoft Copilot y Azure AI. Tu clip, o remezcla, se añade a la reproducción de la comunidad aquí.

Al ir a la sección Community Remix en el sitio web de la película, puedes ver clips creados por otros acompañados de la pista «iAAM» («I Am A Mountain») de «MOON MUSiC» y pueden crear su propio clip.

No es de extrañar que sea una experiencia muy emotiva ya que ustedes crean su propio remix personal. La mía es la confianza en invocar rayos, que obvio, es increíble. Pueden afinar su propio remix al ajustar la intensidad de siete atributos diferentes, como la pasión, el crecimiento y la paz, que se representan como lunas contra un arco iris (créanme, tienen que verlo). Una vez que hayan terminado, su remix se añade a la comunidad y pueden descargar un vídeo y una imagen de su remix si lo desean. También pueden crear otro remix.

Los recuerdos de ese concierto de Vancouver me inundaron mientras estaba en la aplicación, dándome un momento maravilloso para sumergirme en un recuerdo preciado. Fue inesperado y algo asombroso. No todas las aplicaciones pueden evocar tal respuesta. En verdad Coldplay aporta algo de química emocional a la mezcla, pero este uso creativo de la IA abre un nuevo camino para los fanáticos.

Microsoft colaboró con Pixel Lab, con sede en Seattle , para crear esta experiencia de remezcla de fanáticos. La IA de la plataforma analiza el contexto emocional de cada videoclip y los ensambla de manera dinámica para crear una experiencia única e inmersiva para cada fan. With AWS Elemental MediaTailor you can now bring your own pre-transcoded HLS and DASH packaged ads through VAST responses, enabling custom control over ad transcoding. This new capability allows ad decision servers to include HLS and DASH manifest URLs for pre-transcoded multi-bitrate ad streams directly in the VAST XML creative file attributes. MediaTailor will stitch the pre-transcoded ad creative into the manifest without dynamic transcoding.

Previously, MediaTailor could only dynamically transcode ads to match the content stream at insertion time. With Bring-Your-Own-Ads via VAST, you can now pre-transcode ads and provide the transcoded manifest URLs via VAST, enabling use cases like server-side overlay ads and instantly inserting new ad creatives.

Bring-Your-Own-Ads via VAST can be enabled at the configuration level in MediaTailor. The feature supports both HLS and DASH streaming protocols and is available now in all regions where MediaTailor is supported.
